Stir-fried Pork Belly with Okra Recipe

Ingredients:

- 250g Pork Belly, cut into bite-sized pieces

- 250g Okra, trimmed and sliced

- 2 cloves Garlic, minced

- 2-3 Red Chili Peppers, thinly sliced (adjust to your spice preference)

- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce

- 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce

- 1 tablespoon Cooking Oil

- 1 teaspoon Sugar

- Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pork Belly: Marinate the pork belly pieces in soy sauce for at least 15 minutes. This helps tenderize the meat and infuse it with flavor.

2. Stir-fry the Pork: Heat the cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork belly and stir-fry until golden brown and slightly crispy on all sides. Remove the pork from the wok and set aside.

3. Sauté Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and chili peppers to the wok and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

4. Stir-fry Okra: Add the sliced okra to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it's tender-crisp. Okra cooks quickly, so don't overcook it.

5. Combine and Simmer: Return the pork belly to the wok. Add oyster sauce and sugar. Stir well to combine all ingredients. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

6. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with steamed rice.

Tips and Variations:

- For a spicier dish, add more chili peppers or a dash of chili garlic sauce.

- You can add other vegetables, such as bell peppers or onions, to the stir-fry.

- If you prefer a less oily dish, reduce the amount of cooking oil.

- For a thicker sauce, you can add a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a little water to the wok during the simmering stage.
